Brewing news Ukraine: Obolon brewery beer output upped by 36.2% in March 2006

The brewery Obolon based in Kyiv has recently announced that during March 2006 it has registered a 36.2% grown in beer output up to 72 mln litres, compared to March 2005.

During January – February this year the brewery total beer production came to 1.64 mln hl, up by 21.8% versus Jan-Feb last year. During February 2006 Obolon increased its beer output up to 52 mln litres, or by 4.4% against February 2005.

In 2005 the company showed high speed of production increase, which was 14.9% more than Ukrainian beer market growth trend. Obolon thus proves to be the most dynamically developing company. In 2005 Obolon increased its export 24.6% and increased the number of countries where it exports its beers. Comparing to 2004 Obolon has increased its share in Ukrainian beer export up to 82.2%.
